March 22 “Country Nights” Dinner/Dance Event at Aqua Turf Club
is Non-Profit Veterans Service Organization’s Largest Fundraiser of the Year
Hamden, Conn., January 3, 2025 – House of Heroes Connecticut (HOHCT) is going country for its 9th
Annual Hearts & Heroes Gala March 22 at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville.
HOHCT’s “Country Nights, a Western Salute to Service” event will feature saloon-style games, musical
entertainment by American Honey, dinner, dancing, open bar, premium raffle and a silent auction. A
highlight of the evening will be presentation of the annual William J. May III Service Above Self Awards.
More than 250 guests are expected at the event, the non-profit veterans service organization’s largest
fundraiser of the year.
The William J. May III Service Above Self Awards are presented annually to the organization’s Sponsor,
Craftsman and Volunteer of the Year. The Strength in Service Award is a special category of the May
Award, presented periodically in recognition of extraordinary and/or unique contributions to our shared
communities. Awardees will be announced later this month.
The May Awards, established in 2019, honor the legacy of HOHCT’s late co-founder Bill May, a 24-year
Army Aviation veteran, Black Hawk helicopter test pilot and inspiring leader whose vision was to assist
fellow veterans in need of home renovations and repairs that would keep them safely in their homes.
Tickets for the event are $130 per person. Event tickets, tables, sponsorships and advertising
opportunities are available at www.hohct.org/countrynights
House of Heroes Connecticut is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that recognizes, honors and serves
military and public safety veterans and/or their surviving spouses for their sacrificial service to America.

What an inspiring event! The House of Heroes’ 9th Annual Hearts & Heroes Gala truly showcases the power of community and compassion. It’s wonderful to see organizations coming together to honor heroes and support meaningful causes. Just like this event celebrates dedication and service, a cosmetics brand in Pakistan can also take inspiration by engaging in community initiatives and supporting local heroes through social responsibility programs.
What a wonderful initiative! It’s inspiring to see communities come together to support real-life heroes through events like this. Just as honoring heroes is essential, so is supporting healthcare professionals with the right tools — and trusted providers of dental equipment in Sharjah play a key role in ensuring high standards in patient care.
I just wanted to say how much I appreciate your passion and insight in writing this post — your perspective really shines through every line. It’s clear you’re not just sharing information but genuinely connecting with your readers.
By the way, I loved your mention of the Heartland Non Tunable Beginner Bodhran and Muzikkon Harps — both are fantastic instruments that complement your topic beautifully.
The 9th Annual Hearts & Heroes Gala sounds like a beautiful tribute—blending heartfelt appreciation with a fun country twist! Events like this not only honor real-life heroes but also bring communities together in powerful ways. Much like a regulatory consulting company, success here relies on attention to detail, planning, and a strong sense of purpose. It’s inspiring to see causes celebrated with such care and creativity. Hats off to everyone involved!
What a wonderful event! The 9th Annual Hearts & Heroes Gala beautifully honors our veterans while fostering community spirit. Just as this gala celebrates service, a dissertation proposal service can help students articulate their research goals and contribute meaningfully to their fields. Both initiatives empower individuals to make a difference!
