Serving as a volunteer on a House of Heroes™ project is fun, easy and best of all rewarding. You don’t have to possess any home repair or construction skills. Our project leaders will teach you everything you need to know.
The leaders of organizations whose employees have served on a team building event with HOH report that it was a phenomenal experience.
Volunteers - All Skills Welcomed
Whether comfortable with swinging a hammer or talented at comforting, we welcome you to help us make a difference in a day. Our home projects utilize licensed craftsmen for all work required under construction code. For other tasks we use our army of volunteers to clean, paint, landscape, and provide team logistics.
While most of our projects derive volunteers from the sponsoring organization, we occasionally need help for Chapter administration, events and independent veteran home projects.
HOW CAN YOU HELP HOUSE OF HEROES?
· Sponsorship of a House
· Participate in Team Building Events
· Project Manager or Site Supervisor
· Special Events
· Volunteer recruitment
· Corporate relations
· Meal coordinating
HOH-CT seeks quality, licensed craftsmen throughout the state to achieve our goal of 50 home projects per year. All trades are needed. Consider pledging 100 man-hours per year - just a little more than one day per month for the HOH-CT cause. This level of craftsmen commitment will make it easier to secure materials funding sponsorships from the business community. All for the benefit of our veterans.
Also, if you're a General Contractor with an established subcontractor team, we're looking for County Captains throughout Connecticut. So whether you're a trade craftsman or GC register your business here and out operations staff will contact you for the next step.
