HOHCT IN THE SPOTLIGHT

Rally Point for Heroes

On Saturday, HOHCT demonstrated its commitment to serving those who served, partnering with Easterseals Veterans Rally Point to provide a week's worth of non-perishable food to some 100 veterans impacted economically and otherwise by the COVID-19 crisis. Our Rally Point for Heroes event was a fantastic day of service, allowing us to continue our mission even as this worldwide pandemic has temporarily halted our traditional veteran home repair project work. We have many to thank, including our outstanding partners the Veterans Rally Point Team, our 16 dedicated HOHCT volunteers, and project supporters Bozzuto's Inc. and its Hometown Foundation Inc., PCX Aerosystems and Pratt & Whitney's UTC-4-Vets Employee Resource Group. Thank you for helping us once again Make a Difference in a Day.

True to our mission, yesterday's event made a critically important difference in the lives of veterans who are suffering during a very difficult time, and it was all made possible because of YOU.

We'd like to also offer a special thank you to our friends with Bozzuto's of Cheshire, which donated 20 percent of the food we distributed; PCX Aerosystems which purchased 200 boxes for us for the event; and UTC-4-Vets, a Pratt & Whitney employee resource group, for donating a wonderful lunch spread for all. THANK YOU!

Our event earned terrific TV coverage including NBC Connecticut, News 8 amd FOX 61. Here are links to two of the TV news stories
