The COVID-19 crisis has not spared House of Heroes Connecticut as our 2020 project and fundraising calendar is in a period of flux while we ride out the pandemic and await guidance from government and healthcare officials as to when day-to-day business and activities may resume.
So far, two April project weekends have been postponed and the next milestone is our Memorial Day Weekend activities including our annual Memorial Day Weekend Kick-Off Fundraiser schedule for Friday, May 22 (location TBD) and our Project Day with Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin Company, on Saturday, May 23 (projects TBD). To date, those events have not yet been postponed but with the state’s official recommendation to maintain social distancing through May 20 still in place and plans to reopen Connecticut’s economy still being formulated, the weekend’s planned activities are clearly uncertain.
