One of three homes completed in Hamden on Memorial Day weekend was the home of SGT Samuel Burrell.
A New Haven native born in 1932, Sam Burrell is a graduate of the former St. Mary’s High School in New Haven and entered military service in 1953 during the Korean War. He was sent
overseas to Korea and assigned to serve in the medical corps, working at a medical aid station in the field. HOH was proud to honor this very decorated veteran.
