HOH was honored to work on three veteran homes on April 7th and two more on April 28th. We honored a Korean War veteran who was actually kidnapped by the Nazis and spent many years in a forced labor camp. He was later rescued by Americans and came to the US where he served in the 7th Infantry Division on the front lines in Korea. A well decorated soldier! Our other April 28th Veteran served for 3 tours of duty in the Gulf War losing his leg to an IED on his last tour. It was a great day to serve these two veterans. Thank you to our Sponsors Meriden Rotary and DAV Hardware Chapter.
