HOHCT gave back to local hero Retired Hamden Firefighter Paul Turner
Today was all about giving back to our own community in Hamden. What a great turnout to help a Veteran/Hamden Fire Fighter and support him as he makes his way back from a stroke. The ramp and bathroom modifications will help him to live safely and be home with his family. Thank you to all the news media (News Channel 8, Fox News and NBC Connecticut) for the excellent coverage and special thanks to the Hamden Fire Department for their tremendous support for one of their own. House of Heroes always goes the extra step. For the first time we are working in January with a team of firemen from Hamden to help one of their own. This well deserved Veteran could not access his home due to a recent stroke. A fireman and an Airforce Veteran… we are so proud to help.
