Teams of volunteers started the month of April 2017 out right as they helped two deserving veterans from Ansonia and Middletown complete safety and accessibility repairs to their home. In Ansonia, we repaired unsafe porch steps in the front and back, repaired electrical and plumbing and even replaced a bathroom sink and vanity. The yard got a fresh new look as scores of volunteers raked and cut back bushes. In Middletown the work was much the same, repairing doors and building a new bilco door. Even the deck got spruced up with a new coat of stain. Thank you to the numerous volunteers and licensed engineers that made these homes safe for our Connecticut Veterans.
