The COVID-19 crisis has put a screeching halt to the business of America, including the good work of thousands of non-profit organizations throughout the world working hard to find creative ways to continue fulfilling their missions. The delivery of vital services, community and project work and fundraising events are all on hold as we adapt to today’s “new normal.”

House of Heroes Connecticut has not been spared. Traditional home improvement projects slated to assist Connecticut veterans this spring have already been cancelled and work scheduled for the coming weeks is in jeopardy.

But the COVID-19 crisis has only strengthened our resolve to continue serving those who served. Our veterans need help now more than ever: A recent study indicates that job losses, social isolation and mounting anxiety connected to the COVID-19 pandemic will hit veterans especially hard.

Your tax-deductible donation today to House of Heroes Connecticut’s Helping Heroes Now Fund will help us continue fulfilling our mission in the age of COVID-19. We are moving fast, rolling up our sleeves and partnering with others to assist veterans as they struggle through the day-to-day challenges brought on by COVID-19. Veteran assistance efforts currently being finalized include limited-scale home projects that can be completed safely with minimal volunteers while maintaining social distancing, and an outreach plan to provide groceries and/or essential home supplies to our heroes, thanking them for their service and sacrifice. The need is immediate and you can be a part of meeting that need now.

Donate today to House of Heroes Connecticut’s Helping Heroes Now Fund.

Thank you for your continued support of America’s heroes.
