WPD Fundraiser

Wallingford Police Department

WPD Fundraising through January for House of Heroes Connecticut

Given the successful fundraising efforts during the Connecticut Cancer Foundations No Shave CT
campaign, the Wallingford Police Department is proudly going to continue growing their beards and
fundraising from January 1st through 31st to benefit House of Heroes Connecticut. Typically, each officer
must be clean-shaven with minor exceptions, however continuing through the month of January, officers
will make donations to grow their facial hair and raise money to support the mission of House of Heroes CT.

The mission of House of Heroes, Inc. is to recognize and honor military and public safety veterans and/or
their spouses who have served our country faithfully and sacrificially. Through service to these veterans
and their spouses, House of Heroes, Inc. volunteers attempt to express gratitude that can never be

adequately expressed in words alone.

Founded in January 2000, the House of Heroes  is a nonprofit organization serving our nation's military
and public safety veterans (and their spouses) who are disabled, living on a fixed income, or facing other
physical/financial challenges. Volunteers perform minor repairs and make improvements to the homes of
veterans and their spouses at no cost to the veteran through the generosity of individuals, civicorganizations, and corporations.

Please Join the Wallingford Police Department in supporting the House of Heroes and their mission.
