Sikorsky/Lockheed Martin Supports Veteran Projects

November 13, 2019

On a chilly Veteran's Day weekend more than 20 volunteers from Sikorsky supported Veterans in Ansonia and Wallingford.  The Wallingford project directly helped a Vietnam Vet get safely out of his home for the first time in many months. A beautiful new ramp now allows him access to the outside world.  This was a major safety concern. In Ansonia, volunteers repaired a room that was damaged by a leaking roof.  They also helped the family gain more storage space by putting together two new sheds and cleaned up hi yard.  This Afganistan Vet was so thankful that he received the help he needed to make the repairs he could not keep up with. Thank you Sikorsky for always being there to help out CT Veterans and "Make A Difference in a Day"
