Plainville Rotary Helps Local Vet

Saturday, May 11th was a big day for Vietnam Veteran Michael Hall. Mike trained as an aircraft mechanic. During his one-year tour in Vietnam he serviced C-123 transports, one of the most vital aircraft of the war. On Saturday, May 11th volunteers from Plainville Rotary sponsored a project at his home to help with safety and accessibility. The Rotary was supported by the Plainville Football Team, Knights of Columbus Assembly 2456 and the VFW of Plainville. Together these 45 volunteers, painted, roofed a small garage and gave our Veteran a new tub and toilet. It was an incredible day and we even rescued a family of raccoons out of the garage.A huge thank you to Mission BBQ for providing lunch for all our volunteers!
